Archives agreement

The archives service is an information service from Arkansas Online®, the electronic edition of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette published by Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Inc. By completing the registration form, you agree to be bound by each of the terms in this Archives Subscriber Agreement. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Inc., may modify or change the terms in this Subscriber Agreement from time to time. By using the Service subsequent to any change in the Archives Subscriber Agreement, you agree to be bound by any such modification or change.

I understand that my credit card will be billed $1.95 per article.

Frequent reasons for denial

We reserve the right to refuse requests to reprint Arkansas Democrat-Gazette material. We generally do not give reprint permission for:

Sales, marketing or promotion, including almost any communication to current or potential customers.
Electronic use (see below).
Fund-raising.
Any context that might be construed as political or as an endorsement for any candidate for public office, any side in a political debate, or any organization with a primarily political purpose.
Other commercial purposes.

WE CANNOT SUPPLY COPIES OF ARTICLES.

Three months of newsprint back issues of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette are usually available for purchase. Call (501) 378-3400 to inquire if an edition is available. To find a newsprint back issue more than three months old, we suggest readers check at a library.

Copyright ownership

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Inc., does not own the copyright to everything that appears in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. The copyright to some articles may be owned by other organizations or individuals. If the byline says "Arkansas Democrat-Gazette," we own the copyright and can grant permission for reuse. Otherwise, you should contact the section of the paper where the material appeared and obtain the identity of the copyright holder.

Electronic use

In most cases, Arkansas Online® does not allow electronic reprints. This includes bulletin boards, Web sites, the Internet or anywhere material can be widely disseminated.
